It's quite difficult to go wrong when you have something so solid like a story by Roald Dahl. I'm glad to say that Wes Anderson did everything right and a bag of popcorn when he directed this wonderful motion animated/puppet movie.
For starters, the cast has the who's who of Hollywood lending their voices. We have George Clooney in the title role and Meryl Streep playing Mrs. Fox. Besides this, Bill Murray, Jason Schwatzman, William Dafoe, and Michael Gambon can also be heard. I would also like to point out that this being based on a kids book and also being an animation should not stop an adult from seeing it. It definitely caters to all ages. The story revolves around Mr. Fox, his family, and their underground neighbors as they fight/run/steal from three farmers who are out to get Mr. Fox after he falls of the wagon and steals from them (even though he promised his wife earlier he would not).
The dialogue is simple yet effective and the characters lovable. I specially found it funny that every time they wanted to use a cuss word they would use that very word - "cuss". So you would have a character say "what the cuss is wrong with him" in place of you should know what :-) Lastly, due to its origin as a book/movie for kids, there are the usual morals and teachings of being unique, family values, group work etc that one should take away from the film. A movie you can watch with your entire family and have a laugh. I happily give it a 4/5 star rating.
